Internet Marketing

Monday, July 2nd, 2007

Steven Aitchison is writing a really great series on his foray into search engine marketing. Click here to read his first post on the subject.

Basically, Steven is detailing the results of his first search engine marketing campaign. In this post, I’m going to talk about his numbers and begin the process of analyzing his campaign. This should be highly informative for anyone considering this type of internet marketing activity.

How To Start Selling Stuff On The Internet

Thursday, June 28th, 2007

Unlike most of what you read on the Internet about affiliate marketing, here’s a very informative post about a real effort with real numbers to back it up.

Steven Aitchison is doing us all a service by being so transparent.

I’m looking forward to more of his posts on this topic, so I can follow his progress.

Look forward to a post of my own about my first real internet marketing effort–my ebook: How To Quit Smoking.

ZacJohnson.Com Review

Saturday, May 12th, 2007

There are a ton of people out there telling you how to make money online. Although, I’m a true online newbie, I’m not that new in general. (I’m close to half a century old.) Most of these folks are cyber snake oil salesmen (and women).

Zac Johnson apparently is not. That is he’s the real deal.

Virtual Pit Bull Mauls Blog Visitor…

Tuesday, March 27th, 2007

I have this great fear!

You need to know that I am only outwardly socialized. I can pass for a gentleman, even a somewhat sensitive guy. But in reality, I’m basically a human version of a pit bull.

I’m Out There, Jerry!

Sunday, March 25th, 2007

You know I could smack Michael Richards for being such a racist dope. “I’m out there, Jerry!” is truly one of the greatest lines in television.

In case you didn’t watch Seinfeld, Richards’ character, Kramer, decides not to wear underwear one day. He barges into Jerry’s apartment and announces “I’m out there, Jerry…and loving every minute of it!”

After Richards’ insane tirade, I’m tempted not to use this line. But it’s too good! I’m going to steal it anyway.

So, what’s the deal? Well, I finally got my feedburner icon on my blog, and it’s working! In other words…I’m truly out there!

I Could Use A Little Productivity501!

Sunday, March 11th, 2007

Productivity501 is a website run by Mark Shead. From his AboutMe page you learn that Mark is a technology consultant. I am reviewing this website because, if my review is picked, Mark will give me an iPod. Since I don’t have an iPod and, although I asked, my wife did not get me one for Christmas, I’m hoping this review will be well received ;)

Free PDF Resources

Saturday, March 10th, 2007

So far with my How To Quit Smoking Book, I’ve written it, translated it into a .pdf file (so that anyone can read it on any machine–Windows, Mac, or Unix), and uploaded it to Payloadz and to Lulu.com. I’ve written a post about uploading it to Payloadz and trying to sell it during one seven day auction on eBay. I’ll write another post specifically about Lulu. But what I wanted to do here was alert you to a really great post by Ilker Yoldas on The Thinking Blog.

eBook Part II: Getting The Book Ready To Sell

Thursday, March 8th, 2007

In the post just before last, eBook Part I: The Idea and Writing It, I described how and when I got the idea to write ebooks. I didn’t even know such a thing existed back in November. I read Joe Vitale’s book, The E-Code, liked it, then wondered what I could do. After some thought, I hit upon the idea of writing a book on how to quit smoking, using the system that my dad invented. I finished the book by the end of the year.

eBook Part I: The Idea and Writing It

Sunday, March 4th, 2007

I finished my first ebook a few weeks ago. It’s a how-to manual on how to quit smoking. I’ll write a post about the book itself very soon, so I don’t want to repeat myself here. What I do want to write about is the sequence of events that lead to the idea of writing ebooks and selling them on the Internet.
