I am remarkably inept when it comes to blogging. I can do two things correctly. I can write like a scalded dog. (Well, maybe not that good–but I think I can.) I can also think logically.

I had only learned about the existence of blogging just before last mid-term elections. I had never heard of social bookmarking.

When I started this blog, I noticed that all of the good bloggers had this “MyBlogLog” thing on the side of their page. I wanted one.

I finally found MyBlogLog.com, then damn near took forever to figure out how to get the widget working. That was only a month ago. Now, look at me. I feel like an old salt.

I read that you should use social bookmarking to get the word out on your blog, so I started hanging around MyBlogLog, and…it worked! One tenth of my traffic comes from there.

Once I got the widget going, I could see pictures of people who read my blog. That was way cool!

One of my readers was someone with the moniker ZennJenn. I tracked down ZennJenn and found her blog.

Here it is: Big Book of You Blog.

Go take a look. I was just over there.

Turns out it’s her birthday, and Jenn wants more links to her blog.

This is very weird, because lately I’ve been thinking I needed something extra to deal with some obstacles I’m experiencing. So, I’m hoping I’m one of the first fifteen.

Another thing that’s really neat is her work is mentioned in Joe Vitale’s new book. Joe Vitale’s fast becoming one of my top influences, so I was very impressed that Jenn was mentioned in his book. (I also feel very fortunate to have this person as one of my regular readers.)

I’m slowly learning about how to live on purpose. This is yet another example of what I want in my life manifesting itself.
