I got to tell you a story!
If you’ve looked at my bio, you’ll remember that I’m a high school teacher–math. This is a job I love, but that I’m outgrowing. Specifically, now it’s time for me to be an entrepreneur.
I’m stoked!
My most popular post, How To Turn Your Daughter Into A Whore In Two Easy Steps, was accepted in the Carnival of Education on The Education Wonks blog. I would like also to mention, Matt Johnston’s blog, Going to the Mat, where he’s pulled out a few of the entries that might interest his readers. Take a look at both these blogs! They’re well worth the time.
When my kids were born, I virtually quit looking at television and movies. Actually, their birth accelerated a trend that had been happening for some time.
I’ll be the first to admit, my children know more about some things than I do. Now, I’m not saying they’re smarter. They might be or they might not be. I’m a pretty smart guy. But then again, they’re my kids! I’m just saying they have a connection with wisdom beyond their years.
I was out of town for three days.
My original goal was to have a post or two ahead lined up for times like this, but, alas, that was not to be quite yet. If you want to know why, read the post that preceded this one.
It’s going on right now! I’ve had the idea for this post for some time. Generally, I’ve got about fifteen posts partially done, and about ten more ideas for posts floating around in my head.
Figuring out what to say is not hard for me. Finding the time and especially the peace to write it in is the hard part.
…never do anything worthwhile either.

So, why is our educational system based on teaching kids to avoid failure? It seems to me that we should be teaching them to embrace failure!
I’ve been really stoked by the traffic on this blog! Basically all I know how to do is write. I’ve had to learn the technology from the ground up. But it’s working! So, I’m really excited to announce that I’ve finally been able to make my How To Quit Smoking book available!
Last night before I went to bed, I powered up my My Yahoo! and took a look at the recent posts to the blogs I follow. One post specifically caught my attention–blew my sock off, actually. Let me tell you about it.
