Trump Vs. Teresa

Sunday, March 18th, 2007

What I really like about Donald Trump is that people either love him or hate him. You’re either a Rosie O’Donnell or one of the suck ups in “The Apprentice”. (I guess I’m more like the suck ups.) Mother Teresa, on the other hand, doesn’ t inspire this sort of polarization. You could probably make the eighth deadly sin: Not Liking Mother Teresa. How could you not like Mother Teresa? She was literally a saint!

The Lake Effect

They say that what distinguishes us from animals is our invention and use of tools. Exactly what is a tool? I suspect you can recognize a tool when you see one, but can you define it?

I Could Use A Little Productivity501!

Sunday, March 11th, 2007

Productivity501 is a website run by Mark Shead. From his AboutMe page you learn that Mark is a technology consultant. I am reviewing this website because, if my review is picked, Mark will give me an iPod. Since I don’t have an iPod and, although I asked, my wife did not get me one for Christmas, I’m hoping this review will be well received ;)

Free PDF Resources

So far with my How To Quit Smoking Book, I’ve written it, translated it into a .pdf file (so that anyone can read it on any machine–Windows, Mac, or Unix), and uploaded it to Payloadz and to Lulu.com. In the post just before last, eBook Part I: The Idea and Writing It, I described how and when I got the idea to write ebooks. I didn’t even know such a thing existed back in November. I read Joe Vitale’s book, The E-Code, liked it, then wondered what I could do. After some thought, I hit upon the idea of writing a book on how to quit smoking, using the system that my dad invented. I finished the book by the end of the year.

eBook Part I: The Idea and Writing It

Sunday, March 4th, 2007

I finished my first ebook a few weeks ago. It’s a how-to manual on how to quit smoking. I’ll write a post about the book itself very soon, so I don’t want to repeat myself here. What I do want to write about is the sequence of events that lead to the idea of writing ebooks and selling them on the Internet.

Your Dog May Need A Success Coach…And You Might, Too!

Saturday, March 3rd, 2007

We recently got a dog. I had been lobbying against getting a dog for two years. Both my wife and especially my kids wanted a dog, but I knew that another animal would only mean more work for…you know who! (Turns out I was wrong.)
